No, my undergrad was in Animal Sciences. I wanted something more after that, took a course in Nutritional Biochemistry and loved it.
What is the best advice you received from a CHS faculty member?
From Dr. Thornton, after getting my M.S., he said something like, “You’ve learned how much you don’t know.”

Not really, met some really great friends in grad school.
What do you love about your job?
I am retired, but I loved the personal connection that my field had with people’s everyday life.
How do you stay inspired professionally?
I’m retired so don’t do meetings, etc. I grow healthy food J. That’s about it.
