The Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Academic Clinic is an integral part of the Communication Sciences and Disorders graduate degree program at The University of Kentucky.
Graduate students gain clinical experience with children and adolescents who have a wide variety of communication disorders as part of the curriculum for the graduate degree program. Supervision in the academic setting is provided by speech-language pathologists and audiologists certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (ASHA) and licensed by the state of Kentucky.
CSD Academic Clinic Goals
- To provide high quality diagnostic and treatment services to children and adolescents who have communication differences and disorders of speech, language, and hearing.
- To provide a practicum experience for students at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, so that students can develop competence in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals who have speech, language, and hearing disorders.
