Alex Kidwell, MS, RD, LD, CLC is an Assistant Professor (Clinical Title Series) in the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky in Nutrition and Dietetics. She went on to complete her Masters in Medical Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at Saint Louis University. She has worked in Clinical Nutrition roles in Elizabethtown and at University of Kentucky Health Care. She has worked in various clinical environments including intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and transplant.

Currently, she is instructing Masters students in the College of Health Sciences while also working 50% of her time in UKHC providing for clinical patients. She is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian in Kentucky. She also holds a Certified Lactation Counselor specialty. Outside of work, she loves to complete home renovation projects and spend time with her family.
