Alex Edison, Ph.D., joined the University of Kentucky in June 2025 as a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Southeastern University in 2017 and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology in the biomechanics concentration in 2020 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Edison earned her Ph.D. in Human Movement Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2025. Her current research interests are directed towards neuromuscular and sensory adaptations following lower extremity ligamentous injury, with particular interest in limb loading mechanics and strategies for secondary injury prevention.
