Ben Brightwell is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and current PhD student in Exercise Science with a concentration in Biomechanics. He is a proud alumnus of UTMB (Class of 2016) and has advanced training in orthopedics as a graduate of UTMB’s Orthopedic Residency and Optim’s Manual Therapy Fellowship. His research interests include lower extremity biomechanics, lower extremity trauma, sports performance, and strength and conditioning. Clinically he is particularly interested in the treatment of spine dysfunction, vestibular disorders including management and treatment of concussion, and lower extremity dysfunction. Ben is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to meet the performance needs of a wide variety of patients ranging from competitive athletes to our beloved geriatric population.
