Dr. O'Farrell is a faculty member in the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences. He completed his undergraduate and Masters degrees, respectively, in literature and writing at Georgetown University and the University of Tennessee. He completed his PhD in educational policy and evaluation at the University of Kentucky. His research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning and high-impact practices (e.g. experiential learning, international education, and living-learning programs.) Prior to his time in CHS, Dr. O'Farrell served as the International Director in the Gatton College of Business & Economics. In his free time, Dr. O'Farrell enjoys pizza-movie nights with his family and coaching youth soccer.
