Chris is the Senior College Grants Officer for the College of Health Sciences. He assists faculty with the pre-award process, including budget development, internal routing and approvals, compliance checks, and proposal submission.
Chris began as a College Grants Officer with OSPA in the summer of 2021, and he started covering the College of Health Sciences in March 2022. He received his Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing-Fiction from the University of Montana in 2002, which began a protracted period of meandering through the wilds of adjunct teaching, retail service, and the culinary arts (before The Food Network turned cooking into a blood sport). Prior to joining the University, Chris worked as the Development Director for the Mountain Association for Community Economic Development in Berea and, later, for Bluegrass Greensource in Lexington.
Chris lives in Lexington with his daughter, where he spends his free time embarrassing her with his corny jokes, trying to get her into music she will never think is cool, and showing her movies she’s probably too young to watch.
