Faculty, Staff and Students,
Once again, I hope you are healthy and well — especially at this time, when we’re all preparing to come together to celebrate our independence and patriotism.
Of course, this celebration is really the culmination of other commemorative occasions from the past month: For instance, we’ve celebrated Pride Month and Juneteenth, both of which continue to shape us as Americans.
Now we get to celebrate our freedom. It is a day for everyone, and it should be filled with idealism, optimism and positivity.
And of course, we must remember the ones who have fought to preserve our freedom, including those who have made the greatest sacrifice.
Be sure to look at our website and social media channels this weekend, as we feature a special story that includes a number of our Veteran graduates. After all, it’s the least we can do to recognize their efforts.
That, and we can be thankful, as we remember what it truly means to be American.
Please find some time for yourself over these next few days to rest and relax — and continue to stay healthy and well.
Have a Happy Independence Day.
Best,
Dean Lephart
