Eva attended the University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Political Science. During her time as a student, she worked on UK’s campus in a zebrafish research lab and following graduation took up a full-time position as a lab tech. There she assisted scientists, doctoral candidates, and undergrads in carrying out research projects while handling animal care, general maintenance, and supply and inventory management. She got to work on a variety of research projects involving the study of mutated tumor suppressing genes and treatments to slow tumor growth. Her continued interest in healthcare-related research and higher education led her to becoming a part of the team at UKPA.
