Jessica Pennington is a Staff Support Associate for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky, based at the Morehead Campus. In this role, she provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to faculty and students throughout both the didactic and clinical phases of the program. Her work is critical to the daily operations and success of the campus and reflects her strong commitment to advancing the education of future healthcare professionals.
A native of Morehead, Kentucky, Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education in 2009 and a Master of Arts in Wellness Promotion in 2013, both from Morehead State University. She began her career at the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC) in 2013, where she served in multiple capacities including Student Services Educational Assistant, Continuing Education Administrator, and Health Careers Coordinator at the UK AHEC Program Office. She later returned to Northeast KY AHEC to oversee clinical rotation coordination for medical students and to lead recruitment efforts for preceptors across the region.
Jessica has presented at several national conferences, including the National AHEC Organization and the National Rural Health Association. Most recently, she co-presented with medical students at the 2023 Regional Medical Campus Conference.
Outside of her professional work, Jessica is a passionate fan of classic horror films, a devoted admirer of Marilyn Monroe, and a proud dog mom.
