Ji Yeon Choi is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Research Institute. She has extensive background working with ankle injury extending from her education, research, and clinical experience. Her research interests include lower extremity biomechanics and evidence-based sports medicine practices, specifically regarding chronic ankle instability. Her doctoral research investigated factors associated with recurrent giving-way episodes and physical activity in individuals with chronic ankle instability, with the goal of improving our understanding of long-term consequences following ankle sprain. She is currently involved in several research projects focused on movement retraining and rehabilitation following ankle injury.
