Justin has been with the University since 2015 in various roles as both student and staff. Justin works with both the College of Health Sciences and the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities to help create systemic change in the Commonwealth of Kentucky by empowering people with developmental disabilities to achieve full citizenship and inclusion in the community through advocacy, capacity building, and systemic change. He helps develop relationships with Kentucky’s legislature, monitors potential legislation, and shares policy updates with the council and advocates. He has a sister-in-law who has Down syndrome and is passionate about encouraging state lawmakers to pay attention to disability rights.
