Kéla Porter, PhD, ATC, CSCS joined the University of Kentucky as a Research Analyst in May 2023. After completing her PhD, she transitioned to her current role as an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition in July 2024. She received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Western Carolina University in 2019 and a Master of Science in Post-Professional Athletic Training from the University of Kentucky in 2021. While completing her Masters Degree, Dr. Porter worked on campus with the Men's and Women's Soccer teams, Women's Tennis team, and Track & Field. Dr. Porter earned her PhD in Rehabilitation and Health Sciences from UK in 2024. Her research focuses on integrating cognitive challenges into assessment and intervention strategies for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization.
