Dr. Katie Goldey is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist with experience across clinical and public school settings. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (University of Kentucky, 2010), a Master of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders (University of Kentucky, 2014), and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences (University of Kentucky, 2020).
Dr. Goldey is an assistant professor in the department of Health & Clinical Sciences in the College of Health Sciences. She currently teaches a variety of allied health courses to undergraduate students in both Human Health Sciences and Clinical Leadership & Management programs.
Primary research interests are focused in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Specifically, Dr. Goldey is investigating the impact of student anxiety on the pre-clinical undergraduate education experience, as well as developing best teaching practices for reducing anxiety while maintaining academic rigor.
