After working 18 years in development, Loralyn is convinced that generous, passionate people have the power to make great, positive change in an organization. As Director of Philanthropy, Loralyn works directly with leadership, staff, alumni, and friends of the College of Health Sciences to facilitate and celebrate this growth.
Before joining the College of Health Sciences, Loralyn worked as a member of the development staff for Kentucky Children’s Hospital and UK HealthCare and assisted foundations, individuals and community groups in giving to elevate the level of care the hospital provides. She also managed communications for the children’s hospital development office during that time. During her tenure at UK she was awarded a Terry B. Mobley Award for her work in development at the University of Kentucky. She also received a Lexington ADDY award. Before working at Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Loralyn was the program director and grants writer for a local art museum and a writer for Host Communications.
