Lucy is a lecturer for the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences. She graduated from UK in 2011 with a Bachelors of Nursing and worked with level 1 trauma center critical care teams addressing patient needs at the bedside. Her work as a nurse inspired her to return to school with a focus on prevention and promotion, and she graduated from UK in 2018 with a Masters in Public Health.
Since then she has been involved with research teams that have studied the effects of tobacco on perinatal outcomes, and has implemented yoga programs to study its impacts on cardiac patients. She has partnered with many wonderful community organizations to offer students hands on clinical experiences.
She is a certified yoga teachers and loves to infuse her class content with moments for self-awareness.
