Mary Beth Allen, M.S., CCC‑SLP, is the Telehealth Support Services Director in the University of Kentucky’s Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders, a role she has held since June 2021. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty in the College of Health Sciences. In her work, Ms. Allen teaches, supports telehealth services, and works directly with clients and students through the UK Aphasia Lab and the UK CSD Academic Clinic. She is actively involved in interprofessional education as a longtime facilitator for the iCATS program and represents the department in the Discovery Healthcare Program. She has also supported student learning abroad as a Faculty Representative for clinical education experiences in Belize.

Before stepping into her current role, Ms. Allen spent 14 years providing acute care services at the UK Albert B. Chandler Medical Center. During that time, she also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor, blending hands‑on patient care with student instruction and supervision. In 2017, she transitioned to a UK HealthCare staff role, continuing her work in patient care, interprofessional education, and quality improvement initiatives within the UK Comprehensive Stroke Center and Neurology and Neurosurgery service lines.

Ms. Allen earned her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Kentucky. She maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) through the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association, is licensed to practice in Kentucky, and holds the American Board of Telehealth: Core Concepts in Telehealth Certificate, reflecting her commitment to advancing high‑quality telehealth services.
