Mary Beth Allen, M.S., CCC-SLP, is the Telehealth Support Services Director in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky. Prior to her current position, she provided clinical services in the acute care setting at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center for 14 years. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky, before transitioning to UK HealthCare in 2017. Her work as a facilitator in the interprofessional collaboration team skills (iCATS) curriculum has helped to transform education for students across healthcare disciplines by providing firsthand experience accounts to the educational framework. She has been a member of the Stroke Performance Improvement Team for the University of Kentucky Comprehensive Stroke Center and has served on Advancing Best Care practices committees with the Neurology and Neurosurgery service lines. Along with her extensive direct patient care experience, she has served as a SLP Clinical Fellow supervisor, clinical instructor, and guest lecturer for undergraduate and graduate students.
