Dr. McGuire has been an assistant professor in the University of Kentucky Department of Physical Therapy since 2022. Prior to this he served as adjunct faculty for the program beginning in 2006. He received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2004 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2008, both from the University of Kentucky. Dr. McGuire was part of the group that developed and established the first physical therapy residency program at UK and currently serves as co-director of that sports residency program. He is a board-certified clinical specialist in both sports and orthopedic rehabilitation with 20+ years of clinical practice in sports rehabilitation. He continues his clinical practice in the UK Sports Rehabilitation clinic where he has treated high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes throughout his career.
