Celebrate National Allied Health Week with CHS!

National Allied Health Week, also known as National Allied Health Professions Week, is a week-long celebration of allied health professionals, who play a significant role in the healthcare system:

  • When

    The week is celebrated annually during the first full week of November.

  • Who

    Allied health professionals include imaging technologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, physician assistants, athletic trainers, physician assistant professionals, medical laboratory technologists, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and emergency medical personnel (EMTs, paramedics), among others.

  • What they do

    Allied health professionals provide diagnostic evaluation, treatment for diseases and disorders, rehabilitation services, and manage and operate health systems.

  • Why

    The week is a time to recognize the contributions of allied health professionals and the importance of allied health science.

The Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions recognizes National Allied Health Professions Week.
