Tiff Haub, MSHA, MS, LAT, ATC and Director of Sports Health at Norton Healthcare, was recently named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Kentucky for 2025 by Women We Admire.
Haub, who graduated from CHS with a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2013, said she was honored by the recognition.
“To see my name alongside so many accomplished women was humbling and overwhelming,” Haub said. “I’ve always looked up to strong female leaders, so being included in that group was both surreal and deeply meaningful.”
Women We Admire is a membership organization comprised of some of the most accomplished women executives and leaders across the U.S. and Canada. As one of the fastest-growing professional women’s networks, the goal is to provide members with powerful leadership insights and “an unrivaled close-knit community of extraordinary women who enrich each other’s career journey.”
Haub has more than a decade of experience in sports medicine, and is a passionate advocate for athlete-centered care and equitable access for athletes of all ages, abilities, and disciplines, including collegiate, high school, professional, performing arts, equestrian and the local active community.
Her leadership has elevated jockey healthcare both locally and nationally, and she was named Professional Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2023 by the Kentucky Athletic Training Society. She also spearheaded the transformation of the Norton Sports Health Performance & Wellness Center, a hospital-owned fitness facility that now serves as a regional hub for performance, recovery and wellness for individuals ages 9 to 99.
She says her time here in the College of Health Sciences was “pivotal” to her career.
“At the time, I was already a certified athletic trainer, and the post-professional program offered exactly what I was looking for: Advanced education and research paired with a hands-on experience,” she said. “My graduate assistantship with UK Softball not only helped support the financial cost of my degree but also gave me an incredible opportunity to grow as a clinician and leader in a high-level athletic environment.”
Haub said she was drawn to UK because of its culture.
“When I interviewed for the program, the family atmosphere within the athletic training department sealed the deal,” she said. “Completing that program felt like joining an elite club. I was fortunate to learn from exceptional leaders like Dr. Carl Mattacola and Head Softball Coach Rachel Lawson, who continue to influence me today.”
And now she's one of the top women leaders in Kentucky.
“CHS challenged me in ways that shaped not only my professional skills but also my character,” she said. “Those two years taught me adaptability, resilience and the importance of meaningful relationships. The network and doors that opened because of UK have been invaluable in launching and sustaining my career.
“At the heart of everything I do, I believe in integrity, loyalty, and kindness — taking care of people while delivering the highest quality service,” Haub continued. “Titles and recognition are wonderful, but for me, success comes from building strong teams and making a meaningful impact. That’s what my experiences and mentors helped instill in me, and it’s something I carry forward every day as a professional, leader and person.”
