CHS Celebrates at NATA 2024
The 75th annual National Athletic Trainers' Association Clinical Symposia and AT Expo was held from June 25-28 in New Orleans — and the College of Health Sciences was there.
From faculty and students to alumni, the CHS ATs were living it up in the Crescent City.
At the Expo, you could find how CHS Putt everyone to the test with a golf game. If you sank the putt, you won a prize.
And at the awards ceremony, CHS was also represented. Shelby Baez, PhD, ATC, was honored with the NATA Research & Education Foundation Dr. Freddie & Mrs. Hilda Pang Fu New Investigator Award.
"I am so thankful for ALL of my people and I am so thankful that these humans are on my bus!" Baez wrote on her Facebook page.
Baez was also recently honored as the College of Health Sciences Young Alumni Award winner this spring. She graduated in 2016 and 2019 with degrees in Athletic Training and the Rehabilitation and Health Sciences PhD Program.
