CHS Faculty selected to attend Harvard University Executive Education Program

Dr. Sharlee Burch, Lecturer in Clinical Leadership and Management, has been selected to attend the Transforming Health Care Education: The Science of Learning and Art of Teaching taking place April 21–June 30, 2026, online with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Executive and Continuing Education.
Over 80 distinguished academics from across the country will be gathering weekly to learn and network with their top colleagues in the field of Health Care education.
The program will focus on theoretical aspects of learning and the principles of effective teaching, focusing on novel methods to enhance long-term retention and will be taught by Dr. Felipe Fregni, a renowned neuroscientist and educator. Leveraging his experience teaching clinical research to over 5,000 clinicians worldwide, he will work with Dr. Burch and other health education leaders on the basics of neuroplasticity and effective lecture design.
Dr. Burch is excited to “be contributing her knowledge of curriculum development and student success strategies to the program and the opportunity to learn new applications of pedagogy to bring back to the undergraduate classroom.”
