CHS Staffer One of 11 Winners of Employee Educational Assistance Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 9, 2024) — The University of Kentucky Women's Forum has named the recipients of the 2024 spring semester Employee Educational Assistance Awards (EEAA), and a College of Health Sciences staffer is one of the winners.
The Women’s Forum Employee Educational Assistance Award compliments UK’s existing tuition* waiver program, the Employee Education Program (EEP). Recipients receive $250 to assist with the cost of books and/or other materials, supplies and fees related to their UK coursework.
Congratulations go out to Nadia Henry, currently a Clinical Education Staff Support staffer for the Physician Assistant Studies program.

Employees can only receive this award once per academic year. Those who applied and were not selected are encouraged to consider applying again for the 2024 fall semester.

Nadia joined the College of Health Sciences in July 2022.
As an assistant to the Clinical Education Manager, Nadia performs a range of critical tasks, from compiling data and reports to collecting required documents from students and clinical sites, ensuring everything is complete before rotations begin. Nadia is also responsible for maintaining eMedley software, ensuring all necessary information for preceptors and clinical sites is accurate and up-to-date. Nadia ensures that all required immunization, certifications, and other documents are uploaded to the database in a timely manner. Nadia also assists faculty with first-year student shadowing placements,
Nadia also assists with organizing clinical year events such as end-of-rotation in-person educational days, career fairs, Clerkship Orientations, Clinical Curriculum Committee meetings, and clinical team planning retreats.
Originally from Grenada, Nadia has worked in the Administration field for over 13 years where she has been instrumental in helping various organizations work to achieve their short and long-term goals, establish functional data entry and filing systems for seamless everyday functioning, and boost productivity.
