CLM Students Create Halloween Event for Skilled Nursing Facility
Students in CLM 480: Service-Learning in the Health Sciences, created a Halloween event at Homestead Post-Acute, a Skilled Nursing Facility, on Oct. 23.
The students designed the event from start to finish — activities, budget, materials needed, and the gameplan for the day.
This event allowed students to demonstrate the Essential Employability Qualities that are central to the CLM program in a real-world environment.
We’d like to thank Annette Dence, Activities Director at the Homestead, for her guidance, and Gallrein Farms in Shelbyville for donating the pumpkins.
