It’s a Salute to CLM this Homecoming Weekend!

2025 Homecoming Queen, CLM student Olivia Kitts

By Ryan Clark
CHS Communications Director

Along with reunions, sports and horses, there will be a salute to Clinical Leadership and Management this Homecoming Weekend.

This year, the College of Health Sciences will be spotlighting CLM, and alumni are ready.

“It is a privilege and pleasure to return to the Bluegrass on behalf of CHS,” said Jacob Yeray, a native of Columbus, Ohio, and a 2024 Clinical Leadership and Management graduate. “Reconnecting with the program is not only a reminder of the great opportunities previously offered, but more importantly, a chance to spend time with the remarkable people who make this education possible.”

“Our CLM alumni are highly engaged with the program, and they’ve been asking for an opportunity to get together,” said Karen Clancy, PhD, MBA, BHS and CLM Program Director and alumna. “This is a great way to connect to the UK College of Health Sciences and the alumni.”

Whether you’re a die-hard football fan, a Keeneland regular, or just looking for a great way to reconnect and recharge, we’ve got something for you this weekend:

  • Friday: Join us at Keeneland for our CHS Homecoming Tailgate from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: Don’t miss the Homecoming Tailgate Tent Party before we cheer on the Cats vs. the Texas Longhorns at Kroger Field.
  • Plus, we’re thrilled to be hosting some of our amazing CHS alumni for a Friday tour of the new Michael D. Rankin MD Health Education Building.

And in a fun coincidence, a CLM student was also crowned UK’s Homecoming Queen Tuesday night.

Olivia Kitts, from Nicholasville, is a CLM senior, also pursuing a certificate in business. She currently serves as vice president of the Epsilon Omega chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority, an ambassador of CHS and as a resident advisor. Kitts is also the social media coordinator for DanceBlue, helping raise awareness and funds for the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic. Additionally, she serves as director of marketing for the Student Government Association and leads a Life Group for middle school girls.

She is the daughter of Tim and Stephanie Kitts.

"Being named Homecoming Queen at the University of Kentucky is such an incredible honor and truly one of the most special experiences of my college years," she said. "When I first came to UK, I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to represent the university in this way. Through my involvement in the College of Health Sciences, Kappa Delta, DanceBlue, SGA, and as a Resident Advisor, I’ve met some of the most amazing people and grown so much. I’m so thankful for the friendships, mentors, and memories that have made UK such a special place to call home. It’s truly a full circle moment to look back on all the organizations I’ve been part of and now have the honor of being named Homecoming Queen."

Congratulations Olivia!
