It’s like someone in Student Affairs requested their own version of “Fixer Upper.” Or “Dream Makeover.”

Or “Flip or Flop” — without the Flop.

Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., the College of Health Sciences’ Office of Student Affairs will host a special Open House to showcase their new space on the 5th floor of the Multidisciplinary Science Building.

At the start of the spring semester, Student Affairs moved to the new space, which will provide:

  • Welcome Center and Student Success Center
  • 106 seat digital classroom, which can be split in 1/3 and 2/3 to make two classrooms
  • 11 offices (advisors, recruiters, etc.)

“With the exponential growth in the College, we were excited to unveil an additional space to the CHS footprint on campus,” said Casey Shadix, PhD and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. “Our College has gained two new classrooms, expanded space for our Office of Student Affairs to meet with students and families, and a Student Success Center that allows more room for our students to gather for study, relaxation, and college connections.”

Light refreshments will be served.

“We look forward to having folks over,” Shadix said.
