Puppies and Professionals

Interested in knowing more about your future profession, getting advice on the next steps in your career, or connecting with graduate students? Maybe you just want to come out and pet a pup?

Join the College of Health Science Peer Mentors Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the MDS Building, Room 529, for a Puppies and Professionals event to meet with current UK professional students — and play with some adorable puppies.

The Peer Mentors will host a panel with students from Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, the College of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, and more!

For this event, the Mentors are also collaborating with 4Paws, a campus organization that allows students to train service dogs. Come chat with a professional, grab a snack, or pet a pup. Make sure to RSVP here.

Marshall Patton, a junior Human Health Sciences major (on the predental track), and a CHS peer mentor from Louisville, Ky., said the event is a can’t miss.

“I think the Puppies and Professionals event will be a great opportunity for undergrad students to learn more about what it is like to be a student in professional school, what you should expect when it comes to applications and get advice to help you on your journey,” Patton said.
