PHOTOS: Discovery Healthcare Program Students Honored in Graduation Ceremony

Discovery Healthcare Program

It was a busy spring for the students in the Discovery Healthcare Program.

First, the CHS Discovery Healthcare Program Ambassadors received the 2025 University of Kentucky Student Organization of the Year Award as part of the Lead Blue Awards.

Then, 27 students were honored at the DHP Graduation Ceremony in the Don & Cathy Jacobs Science Building.

The Discovery Healthcare Program (DHP) is a group that aims to support various healthcare professions by partnering with students at Bryan Station High School. Students accepted into the DHP program gain early acceptance into the Bryan Station Medical Academy, and can expect to learn from a variety of healthcare professionals and explore the fields themselves.

“We are beyond honored that the Discovery Healthcare Program and our 16 incredible ambassadors have been recognized as the University of Kentucky Organization of the Year!” said Randa Remer, PhD, LPC, assistant professor and Discovery Healthcare Program Director. “Our mission is to support and empower high school UK Healthcare Scholars at Bryan Station as they pursue their dreams of a career in healthcare. Through mentorship, programming, support and engaging events, we help our students grow as both learners and future healthcare professionals.

“Every ambassador’s dedication makes a difference, and it doesn’t go unnoticed,” Remer continued. “Thank you to all the partners for believing in us and helping this program thrive!”
