UK PA Academic Residency second wave admissions cycle is extended

The UK PA Academic Residency second wave admissions cycle is open! The program is seeking PAs who are interested in investing another year into their training in the following specialties:

Medical

UK HealthCare Hospital Medicine
UK HealthCare Neurology
UK St. Claire Hospital Medicine/Critical Care

Surgical

UK HealthCare Acute Care/Trauma Surgery
UK HealthCare Orthopaedic Surgery
St. Elizabeth Healthcare General Surgery
St. Elizabeth Healthcare Cardiac Surgery
Baptist Health Louisville Cardiac Surgery

Residencies can help new graduates to build confidence, knowledge and specialize so they are more marketable.

Program officials say they are very proud as they enter their fifth year. To date, 70 percent of their residents have been employed in Kentucky and 40 percent at their residency training location. At the same time, they have residents working all over the country as the residency program provides its graduates the experience and skills to land their dream jobs.
