As a sophomore, Katie Neglia is already an award-winning researcher here in the College of Health Sciences. An HHS major on the pre-med track, with a Pharmacology minor, she also serves as a CHS Ambassador. And the Carmel, Ind., native was most recently honored by UK with a Gaines Fellowship, a distinctive, two-year program designed to enrich undergraduate education through interdisciplinary coursework, independent research and community engagement.
There’s already a lot of wisdom to learn from this sophomore. As we find out why she came to Kentucky, we also learn about managing our time, handling our mental health ... and we learn how to say no.
