May 22, 2026
This summer, the College of Health Sciences is spotlighting alumni from the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences in Where Are They Now posts.
Today, we're catching up with Tasia Chapman, a 2022 Clinical Leadership and Management graduate.
"As the Assistant Director for the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) at the University of Louisville, I lead initiatives that support pre-health students as they prepare for careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, and other health professions," she said. "I’m very grateful to the CLM program and team for equipping me with the systems thinking and operational skills needed to manage complex programs."
There were also certain people in CHS, she said, who helped her.
"I’m also thankful for Dr. Casey Shadix, who served as a trusted sounding board during my time in the College," she said. "I later went on to earn my Master’s in Strategic Human Resource Management from the Gatton College of Business at the University of Kentucky. In my free time I enjoy serving in church and trying new recipes to cook!"
And what is her favorite memory from UK?
"My favorite memory would definitely be the experience of the football games," she said. "There is truly nothing like the SEC. At times, I definitely miss it!"
