Where Are They Now ... CLM graduate Carly Necessary

Jan 12, 2026

Carly Necessary

The College of Health Sciences is spotlighting alumni from the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences in Where Are They Now posts.

Today, we'll hear from Carly Necessary, a May 2024 Clinical Leadership and Management graduate, from Midway:

"I am currently in graduate school at UK and working towards my Doctorate of Physical Therapy," she said. "I have loved the program thus far and feel very blessed by the classmates and faculty that I get to learn from and interact with every day. Lately, some of my favorite hobbies outside of studying include playing pickleball and spending time with friends and family."

And what was her favorite memory from UK?

"One specific memory that stands out is from the first big snow during the spring semester of 2021," she said. "It was my freshman year, and less than a year into the COVID pandemic, so we were still strictly following social distancing protocols and wearing masks, and the campus felt especially empty. But my favorite moment was when it snowed for the first time that season, and what seemed like everyone who was on campus gathered at the Willy T. bowl to go sledding. It was the first time I truly felt like I was experiencing a normal college life!"
