Where Are They Now ... CLM graduate Ekaterina Brammer

This summer, the College of Health Sciences is spotlighting alumni from the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences in Where Are They Now posts.

Today, we'll hear from Ekaterina Brammer, a native of Sunbury, Ohio, and a 2024 Clinical Leadership and Management graduate:

"I’m pursuing my MPA at the University of Utah, specializing in health policy!" she says. "I have presented research twice this past year. In similar fashion to my time at UK, I am set to graduate early, after only 18 months of intensive coursework."

On top of that, Brammer says she works as a ski instructor in Park City, and serves as a front desk agent for the St Regis Deer Valley Marriott property. 

"These positions have helped increase my networking skills and have helped me grow immensely as a professional, while also having fun!" she says. "In my free time, I love a good road trip to southern Utah to hike and paddle board, as well as skiing and spending time with fellow ski instructors up in the mountains. Since moving to the Beehive State, I have visited all five of Utah’s National Parks as well as the parks in Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, and California!"

She says she is currently in the process of applying to PhD programs in public health, and in the future, she hopes to work for the Department of Health and Human Services, or as a lobbyist for various health policy initiatives.

And what's her favorite memory from UK?

"Truly every day at the University of Kentucky was a gift," she says. "The friendships and connections I made there have continued to stand the test of time, even when moving nearly 1,700 miles away. In class, I enjoyed any time I was able to present research or even in a class setting, as we were all there to uplift each other and show off our academic strengths. Outside of school, the Florida vs. Kentucky football game in September 2021 will always hold a special memory in my heart as we beat the Gators at home for the first time in nearly 30 years. Go Cats!"
