Graduate Haley Scott

For Spring 2026, the College of Health Sciences is spotlighting alumni from the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences in Where Are They Now posts.

Today, we'll hear from Haley Scott, a 2025 Clinical Leadership and Management graduate:

"After graduating in May of 2025, I moved back to my hometown, Louisville, Ky., and found a job opening at MedQuest College. I got the full-time position in the dental hygiene program as the administrative clinical assistant, working under the program manager," she said. "At MedQuest, I am able to work directly with the hygiene students and run the clinic that they get hands-on training from. When I graduated, I never thought I'd be working with students, but I truly love what I do. I get to be there for students that need someone to talk to and also be patient-facing in the clinic, which is what I was looking for the most in a healthcare administration job!"

Scott says she plans on obtaining a master’s degree in healthcare administration.

"But for now I am focusing on working to gain as much practical experience as possible," she said. "This role is helping me build a solid foundation in both administrative and clinical settings, and I am excited to continue growing my skills and contributing to the success of the program. When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I became an aunt last year and love getting to spend time with and spoil my niece! I also took a trip to Europe this summer and got to visit Italy, France, and Spain. The sites were beautiful, and I'd love to go back!"

And her favorite memory from UK?

"My favorite memory from my time at UK was being in the Clinical Leadership and Management major," she said. "The 2025 graduating class was a very close group of people, and that included our professors! I made friends in the program that I know I'll be able to count on forever. To add on, I cannot say enough good things about my professors and mentors. Their guidance went beyond academics; they genuinely cared about our growth and success. They challenged us to think critically, supported us through difficulties, and inspired us to become confident leaders in our field. The collaborative environment they created made learning meaningful and enjoyable, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of such a supportive community. So, to sum it up, my favorite memory from my time at UK was being in a program that allowed me to meet, and be around, so many amazing people."

More great examples of alumni to come!
