Where Are They Now ... CLM graduate Thomas Benjamin Gilbert

This summer, the College of Health Sciences is spotlighting alumni from the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences in Where Are They Now posts.
Today, we'll hear from Thomas Benjamin Gilbert, a native of Springfield, Tenn., and a 2021 Clinical Leadership and Management graduate:
He is now living in Nashville, working as a Talent Development Associate with Shore Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
"My primary job is to develop leaders within our portfolio companies and help them succeed in their roles," Gilbert said. "We are in high-growth organizations and our purpose is to help our people grow as fast as the business is growing so that they can keep pace and successfully scale their impact."
Aside from his work at Shore, Gilbert is also active in the community, serving on two non-profit boards in the city — the Nashville Junior Chamber (NJC) and the Nashville Emerging Leaders (NEL) program.
"I bring my passion for leading and developing learning content to these organizations and support with both professional development and strategic planning," he said. "I'm originally from Springfield, Tennessee, but also attended middle school and high school in Kentucky. Outside of work I love to play piano, hike/canoe, and cook."
And what's his favorite memory from UK?
"My favorite memory at UK was seeing the football team snap their 30-year losing streak against the Gators in Gainesville, Fla.," he said.
More great examples of alumni to come!
