Welcome back, students!
It's been back to school time for various students across the state at various times over the past few weeks! On campus at the University of Kentucky, students start classes on Wednesday, August 24. As UK colleges and departments are gearing up the fall semester, we at KARRN would like to take a moment to highlight the many ways our other programs benefit from students:
Project CARAT runs largely on student power. Physical Therapy students promote the program, refurbish durable medical equipment, help to maintain inventory records, and match up equipment with patients.
UK's Hazard KY campus through the Center of Excellence in Rural Health has students and residents in the following healthcare programs:
- East Kentucky Family Medicine Residency Program
- Medical Laboratory Sciences Program
- Social Work
- Physical Therapy
We are so appreciative of our students' enthusiasm, activism and commitment. Their contributions to our efforts cannot be overstated!
