Mission
The mission of the Simulation Advisory Council (SimAC) is to support the faculty of the College of Health Sciences (CHS) in their endeavors to enhance the learning of their students through use of simulation modes, technology, and resources. Members of the SimAC will serve as facilitators to advise and guide faculty in the instructional and assessment uses of simulation within their departments and serve to facilitate inter-departmental simulation education opportunities. A central focus of this group’s work will be to spearhead faculty training and support best practices of simulation pedagogy and assessment. This group’s central position between departments will lend toward opportunities to inventory and share resources and funding for simulation equipment. Additionally, this group will provide leadership and representation from CHS in interprofessional simulation spaces and groups throughout the University of Kentucky and beyond.
