The SimAC provides a broad spectrum of services, resources, and expertise to support CHS faculty:
- Advise / consult with faculty wishing to initiate simulation practices into teaching and learning activities, and engage in scholarly activities to disseminate CHS simulation practices
- Facilitate simulation integration within and across departments in CHS
- Facilitate simulation integration across colleges and disciplines within UK
- Organize faculty development opportunities (internally- and externally-sponsored)
- Disseminate / spotlight research in simulation in health care fields
- Disseminate best practice guidelines for simulation from professional associations
- Spotlight simulation activities ongoing within CHS
- Maintain inventory of college/departmental resources and advise on purchasing needs
- Monthly meetings of about one hour to discuss internal and external sim activities and new advisory proposals
