Active Girls Healthy Women (AGHW) serves as a hub for researchers, community organizations, and the public to come together to share knowledge about girls’ and women’s physical activity and health.

Join us for a panel discussion to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 3:30-4:30 p.m. Join us for a panel discussion about the successful strategies from the field/community/court for creating positive and engaging experiences for girls and women in sports and physical activity.

“In my role with the Active Girls Healthy Women Program, I’ve met so many people who are working to support girls' and women's participation in sport and physical activity,” said Deirdre Dlugonski, PhD and the Director of the Active Girls Healthy Women Program in the Sports Medicine Research Institute and an Associate Professor in the Department of Athletic Training & Clinical Nutrition in the College of Health Sciences. “The goal of this panel is to share successful strategies for creating positive and engaging movement experiences for girls and women across the lifespan.”
