Statistical Support

The Office of Research & Scholarship is pleased to provide CHS faculty with robust statistical support for research projects, including grant proposals.

Stacey Slone, M.S. is a UK statistician with experience in clinical trials (planning, execution & analysis), developing statistical plans, SAS programming, data manipulation, analysis, and macro creation. Stacey is available for quick statistical questions or guidance by e-mail at stacey.slone@uky.edu 

For statistical assistance, including sample size/power calculations or analyses, please submit a PADS Hub project request (link below)

Once the Statistical Consulting Request form has been submitted, the request will be routed to Stacey Slone. She will follow-up as appropriate. Statistical support may also be available to students, in collaboration with a CHS faculty mentor.

Research Advisory Committee

The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) shall inform and advise the Dean on matters pertaining to research at the institutional level. At the college level, the RAC will advise the Dean on space and fund allocation pertaining to research activities, enhancement of research capacity focusing on the promotion of excellence in research, and the generation of funds to support it. The Committee shall be appointed by the Executive Council upon the recommendation of the Associate Dean for Research and shall consist of representatives from across the College’s research enterprise. The Associate Dean for Research shall serve as the Committee Chairperson and the Dean shall serve as an ex officio member.

Monthly Research Meeting

The Office of Research and Scholarship conducts monthly meetings in CTW 127 – The Commons during lunch hour. ORS shares updates on grant related aspects, and other news as needed. The monthly meeting agenda will be determined by ORS, after gathering interests and topics from the RAC. These meetings are open to faculty and interested research personnel.
