We are doing something special- This state-wide residency matches up to 17 trainees in 8 specialties at 5 institutions, including our UK Health academic medical center and surrounding community hospitals. We provide excellent clinical training with an academic foundation, so our residents are workforce-ready.
We are developing PA leaders- Our program is led by a team of PAs and physicians who are developing the next generation of PA leaders. We are proud to partner with our physician colleagues both in academic and clinical arenas as we train the future leaders of the PA profession. Our residents work with the entire medical team, who serve as mentors throughout the training experience.
We are making a difference- In just 5 years we have trained over 40 residents. Upon completion of the residency, they work, lead, and serve their communities to increase access to health care. We have partnerships with 5 institutions covering the entire state because we believe in training PAs to work in urban and rural settings.
We are community- Kentucky is known for its southern hospitality, and this residency offers you the opportunity to experience that for yourself. Each of our residency tracks are within the Bluegrass state. Each of the residents, faculty, and partners are part of our UK family. We are building a community of educators, clinicians, and residents who support each other to be well-rounded clinicians who can manage a healthy work-life balance.
