Scholarships
The Professional Master of Science in Athletic Training Program Scholarships and Fellowships
The Brian Wise Fellowship
Brian Wise was a 2001 graduate of the Post-Professional Master of Science in Athletic Training Program and a current member of the College of Health Sciences Hall of Fame. Brian pursued an entrepreneurial career after graduation from the University of Kentucky and has continued to provide support to various communities, organizations, and the College of Health Sciences.
This scholarship will be awarded to a professional athletic training student currently enrolled in the Professional Athletic Training Program with a cumulative GPA of > 3.5, who demonstrates continued service to their community, organizations, profession, program or College of Health Sciences. Preference will be given to a student who describes entrepreneurial career interests and/or interest in pursuing a career in non-traditional settings of athletic training, although all students are encouraged to apply.
Required application materials:
1. Updated Resume
2. A one page essay describing the applicant's: 1) Service to various communities, organizations, the program and/or the College. 2) Their post-graduation career interests and 5-10 year career goals.
All application materials should be submitted as one PDF to Hanna Hoch at Johanna.hoch@uky.edu by March 1st. The student selected to receive this scholarship will be notified in March.
