Every student has individual needs both academically and non-academically. For this reason as well as our challenging curriculum, the Human Health Sciences program features individualized advising. Each student is expected to schedule two advising appointments per semester with their academic advisor (scheduling instructions found below as well as a suggested advising timeline).
Your assigned Academic Advisor is listed in MyUK under the "Degree Planning and Registration (MyUKGPS)" tab. Students should schedule regular advising sessions using their CHS program Canvas shell based on program of study (Clinical Leadership and Management, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Exploratory Studies in Health Sciences, Human Health Sciences, or Medical Laboratory Science). Visit www.uky.edu/Canvas to login and make an appointment with your assigned Academic Advisor.
Contact CHS-Advising@uky.edu for more information.
In an effort to be more accessible to students with immediate needs, the Office of Student Affairs have created virtual advising hours to accommodate CHS students exclusively that have time sensitive advising needs. These walk-in opportunities are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and reserved for issues that can be addressed in 10 minutes or less. Your advisor will not meet to lift advising holds during the virtual advising hours.
